The first few days of the BMSc have been quite chilled. So far, I’ve had 3 hours of lectures – hardly very taxing compared to what we’re used to. However, things are just getting started and will soon pick up, I’m sure.
At the moment we don’t have any access to the lectures as there’s always problems transferring people from medicine to the school of life sciences at the start of the year, meaning I really can’t do very much work.
At the moment I’m meant to be picking my modules for the coming year as well. I have about 2 or 3 choices for each quarter of the year and have to pick one. Some choices are: Functional anatomy of the lower and upper limb, anatomical variation and cytoskeletal function from memory i.e. there’s some hardcore anatomy ones whereas others are more cell-biology related if that’s what you’re into.
Anyway, big choices to make over the next few hours.
Also, I’ve just realised today is “Give It A Go” day. Following the sports fayre in freshers week where you can sign up to all the different sport clubs, you get a chance to try the club for free to see what its like and have a go at the sport. It’s a good chance to decide whether you want to pay the membership to join the gym and the club as well as getting the chance to try out any new sports you think might be fun. I’m gonna try the badminton club this year I think, having done swimming in the past.
